Tulley, Elder George’s brother, credits drumming and the Honour Song for saving his life. Also an Elder from Metepenagiag First Nation, Tulley is a recognized world spiritual leader. Dedicating his life and spirit to promoting pride in Mi’gmaq culture and traditions he has shared stages worldwide with notable spiritual leaders as Bishop Desmond Tutu, Pope John Paul II praying with and leading audiences to a higher appreciation of the multi-cultures of the world. The Mi’gmaq Honour Song has become the standard of his multiple traditional Mi’gmawei songs repertoire. Together, Elders George and Tulley, brothers in life and song, collaborate for many events and teachings. Together, they have made a commitment to do everything they can to help promote pride and understanding in Mi’gmaq traditions.
